Image Guidelines
1. Scope
These Guidelines apply to image generation, editing, restoration, upscaling, analysis, and other image processing in Gerwin AI. They supplement the Content Moderation Rules and the Terms of Use.
The user is responsible for the source image, the instruction, and the use of the output.
2. Generally permitted uses
Subject to the necessary rights and applicable law, users may:
- create fictional characters, illustrations, concepts, and designs;
- process their own photographs and materials;
- prepare advertising, product cards, and social media content;
- restore, crop, and improve image quality;
- use references licensed for the intended processing;
- create neutral educational, documentary, and editorial material where the selected model supports that context.
Permissibility depends on subject, realism, context, apparent age, consent, and foreseeable harm.
3. Prohibited images
Users must not create or upload:
- sexual material involving minors or persons of ambiguous age;
- intimate imagery without the depicted person's consent;
- pornography, nudity, or highly sexualized imagery where the feature uses a strict visual filter;
- realistic murder, torture, dismemberment, severe injury, or other shocking gore;
- material encouraging suicide, self-harm, or dangerous conduct;
- imagery used for fraud, blackmail, harassment, or forged evidence and documents;
- prohibited symbols, extremist material, or imagery whose distribution is unlawful;
- content infringing copyright, likeness rights, privacy, trademarks, or trade secrets.

4. Real people, faces, and voices
Before uploading a person's photograph, ensure that:
- you have a lawful basis to use it;
- processing is compatible with the person's consent and the original purpose;
- the output will not be presented as a real act, statement, or event;
- it will not be used for defamation, sexualization, political manipulation, or deception.
Children and vulnerable persons receive enhanced protection. Adult consent does not make unlawful, degrading, or dangerous content permissible.
Some applications may prohibit identifiable real people entirely. A request to depict a celebrity may therefore be rejected even in a neutral context.
5. Politics, public events, and news
Realistic depictions of politicians, protests, military action, and current conflicts may be restricted, particularly where media could:
- create a false impression of a real event;
- attribute words or conduct to a person;
- be used as fabricated evidence;
- conceal its synthetic origin in a public-interest context.
Editorial or educational purpose is relevant but does not override law, accuracy, or synthetic-media disclosure requirements.
6. Rights in inputs and outputs
By uploading an image, the user represents that they may:
- submit it to Gerwin AI and the selected model provider for processing;
- use the works, logos, and likenesses it contains;
- receive and use the output for the stated purpose.
Gerwin AI does not guarantee that an output is unique or dissimilar to existing works. Before commercial use, review rights, facts, trademarks, and destination-platform rules.
7. Model limitations
Gerwin AI and provider safeguards may behave differently. Neutral imagery can be rejected because of:
- ambiguous apparent age;
- medical or anatomical context;
- weapons, uniforms, or symbols;
- an attempt to alter a real person's face;
- the combination of an input image and instruction.
Do not circumvent safeguards. Use the appeal process in the Content Moderation Rules for a suspected false positive.
8. Publishing outputs
Before publication:
- review factual details and unwanted artifacts;
- obtain necessary consents and licenses;
- disclose synthetic origin where required by law, platform policy, or context;
- do not use the output as authentic evidence without independent verification;
- consider age labels and the intended audience.
Gerwin AI accounts are intended for adults. This does not make every output suitable for minors.

Restrictions may change with models, features, provider practices, and law. Material updates are published on this page.
